​​NTI was founded in 1985 by a team of seasoned telecommunications engineers with deep expertise in designing public switched telephone networks across the globe.  These were professionals who had spent their careers working on the front lines of complex, high-stakes infrastructure, bringing a level of precision and systems thinking that would become core to NTI’s DNA.

From the beginning, they applied rigorous network management principles to deliver comprehensive, data-driven country study reports. These reports were instrumental in guiding national-level telecommunications planning, offering insight into network development, equipment provisioning, asset management, and restoration strategies. They not only supported decision-makers but also shaped the long-term direction of network modernization efforts around the world.

 

This “engineering first” foundation established NTI’s reputation for technical depth, analytical discipline, and trustworthiness, particularly in environments where accuracy, reliability, and domain knowledge are critical.​​

​​In the early 2000s, the telecommunications landscape began to shift, and so did we.  NTI evolved from a consulting and reporting focus to building robust data platforms and software solutions.  At the heart of this transition was a core philosophy: continuously gather, normalize, and enrich network data to drive smarter decision-making.

Our ability to blend advanced software development with deep telecom knowledge opened the door to new and innovative service models. We moved from static reports to dynamic, real-time systems that empowered our customers to operate more efficiently and adapt faster.
